Harvest Moon Cafe in Rome, Georgia

Located in the heart of historic Rome on beautiful Broad Street, Harvest Moon Cafe is a local favorite. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is unique. I would say that this is a must for anyone visiting Rome who wants to have a great experience with hometown flair. In addition to the spacious main indoor dining room, this eatery also offers outdoor seating located at the entrance as well as a glassed-in foyer with tables. It has a fully stocked bar in the main dining area.

This eatery doesn’t settle with being a great little restaurant.  It seems to expand in every direction. On one side of the restaurant in a separate room, there is a bar that they call “The Dark Side” where they feature several different themed nights: a game night on Monday, Jazz/Blues night on Tuesday and live music on Saturday. On the roof, they have a fully stocked bar that offers Live music on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.  On the opposite side of the restaurant, there is the Honeymoon Bakery which has fresh baked goods and in-house made gelato or also known as Italian Ice Cream. Upstairs they have two separate rooms that can be reserved for large crowds. They also offer catering, which you can find out more about on their website.

Now to the good stuff. The menu is constantly changing and offers burgers, sandwiches, salads, steak and much more. They have daily specials and seasonal vegetables. With our menu, there was a wine list that offered a variety of wines and specialty drinks.

When I opened the menu I immediately saw that they served Wicked Pimiento Cheese and I knew that whatever I got had to have Wicked Pimiento Cheese on it.  I chose the Wicked Cheese Steak which is sliced rib eye and tenderloin, sauteed mushroom, roasted red peppers, caramelized onions and Wicked pimiento cheese on a hoagie roll, with Gouda Mac-N-Cheese on the side. I was not disappointed!.

Harvest Moon Cafe, Southern Fried Catfish Plate

My husband, who always surprises me with his choices, chose the Southern Fried Catfish. It came with coleslaw, french fries, jalapeño cornbread, and lemon tartar sauce. The Catfish had a hint of a spicy flavor to it and was really good.

After we finished they offered house-made desserts. Unfortunately, we were both too full. We may have to go back one day just to have dessert.

Sunday they offer a Brunch Buffet from 10:00 am – 2:30 pm. The price is $14.50 for adults and $7.50 for children.

We arrived just before the dinner rush and were lucky enough to score a parking place on Broad Street. They do have a back entrance with additional parking behind the building as an option.

If you love this place and want to share your experience please let us know and we will add it to our review.
