How Ensley Xteriors Is Keeping Rome, GA Beautiful Year-Round

Meet Your Neighbors: How Jason Ensley Built a Trusted Local Name in Exterior Cleaning and Custom Lighting With Ensley Xteriors

If you’ve spent any time exploring Rome and Floyd County, you know how much pride we take in our neighborhoods. From historic downtown storefronts along Broad Street to peaceful residential streets shaded by old-growth trees, our properties are a true labor of love. But keeping them looking their best takes more than just water and a prayer, it takes real expertise, hometown pride, and meticulous care. That is why homeowners and businesses across Floyd, Bartow, Gordon, and Polk counties turn to Ensley Xteriors, a premier exterior cleaning and custom decorative lighting company in Rome, GA.

Founded by owner Jason Ensley right as the world was shutting down in 2020, Ensley Xteriors was built from day one on a foundation of grit and community connection. Starting during a global pandemic meant there was no room for cutting corners; if the work wasn’t right, people wouldn’t call back, and word-of-mouth referrals were the entire business. Today, Jason remains a hands-on owner who works directly on every job site rather than sitting behind a desk. As the Ensley Xteriors website proudly states: “We’re not a national franchise, we’re your neighbors.”

The Soft-Wash Difference: Protecting Your Investment

One of the biggest realizations Jason has had since starting the business is simple: people aren’t just paying for pressure washing; they’re paying to know their property won’t get damaged during the cleaning process.

We’ve all heard horror stories of contractors blasting siding with high pressure, marking up concrete, tearing up roofs, or destroying landscaping. Jason saw that firsthand and built his business around a different philosophy: protect the property first, then clean it.

Take those dark streaks on roofs, for example. Most people assume it’s just dirt, but it’s actually algae feeding on the limestone in the shingles. It eats away at the roof, makes homes hotter in the summer, and shortens shingle life. Hitting a roof with high pressure strips the granules off and can permanently void the roof warranty. That is why Ensley Xteriors specializes in soft washing – using low pressure and targeted, eco-friendly treatments to safely clean roofs and siding without causing damage. Additionally, Jason is a member of the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association (ARMA) to stay completely up to date on industry best practices.

Comprehensive Exterior Care and Meticulous Prep

Beyond roofs and siding, Ensley Xteriors offers a full suite of services:

House & Roof Soft Washing: Low-pressure cleaning that eliminates black streaks and protects shingles and siding.
Concrete & Driveway Cleaning: Professionally lifting stubborn Georgia red clay stains, oil, and grime from concrete, brick, and stucco.
Wood Restoration: Revitalizing wooden decks and fences.
Window Cleaning: Keeping glass sparkling clear.
Organic Exterior Pest Control: Deterring spiders, wasps, mud daubers, and unsightly cobwebs around your home’s exterior.

A key part of their process is the time spent on prep work before any washing begins. Water intruding into exterior outlets, outdoor speakers, HVAC systems, or gaps in siding can cause unwanted issues, even during low-pressure soft washing. Jason and his crew take the time to locate and properly cover these vulnerable areas to safeguard your home. Plus, drawing on Jason’s formal educational background as a certified horticulturist, the crew takes special care to protect your surrounding landscaping and flower beds while they work.

Big Leagues & Hometown Pride: The Tennis Courts

From residential driveways to major commercial landmarks, Ensley Xteriors delivers big-time results. Case in point: when the team at the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College needed their courts cleaned ahead of a major televised tournament, they called Jason. His crew soft-washed dirt, grime, and algae off 29 individual tennis courts in just nine days, completing the massive job right in time for Rome’s turn on TV. True to form, Jason’s personal sign-off on the project says it all: “Game. Set. Match.”

How satisfying is seeing something restored to its beauty — Nothing beats the satisfaction of seeing a local landmark restored to its original beauty!

Ensley Xteriors Is Lighting Up Rome: Custom Holiday Magic

Alongside their year-round exterior cleaning, Ensley Xteriors shifts gears each fall and winter to design and install custom Christmas lights for homes and businesses across Northwest Georgia. Every year, Jason and his crew turn local houses into the stunning sights that make whole streets slow down just to look.

What makes their lighting service unique?

Custom-Cut Design: Every set is custom-designed and cut specifically to fit your roofline.
You Own the Lights: Unlike rentals that go back at the end of the season, your custom lights belong to you.
Take-Down & Storage Blueprint: When the holidays wrap up, the team takes the lights down, neatly packages and labels everything, and maps out a clear blueprint for seamless reinstallation year after year.

Even the electrical details get obsessive attention, with the crew inspecting every socket, connection, and existing outdoor outlet before installation to ensure complete safety.

The Best Part of the Job

For Jason, the most rewarding part of running Ensley Xteriors is simple: the “before and after.” Watching a home that has been weathered for years transform in a single day, and seeing the homeowner’s reaction during the reveal makes it all worthwhile.

“When a home looks good again, or a family’s house is lit up for the holidays, that’s our name on it, and I take that personally,” Jason shares.

Whether you’re refreshing your home’s curb appeal for spring and summer, soft-washing your roof and driveway ahead of company arriving, or making your house the brightest star on the block for the holidays, you can count on your neighbors at Ensley Xteriors all year long.
