Harvest Moon Cafe

Located in the heart of historic Rome on beautiful Broad Street, Harvest Moon Cafe is a local favorite. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is unique. This is a must for anyone visiting Rome who wants a great experience with hometown flair. The menu has something for everyone. It is southern cuisine at its best. I also have to mention that next door to Harvest Moon Cafe is the best little bakery, Honeymoon Bakery Stop by there for an after-meal (or anytime) treat.

Moe’s Original Bar B Que

Moe’s Original Bar B Que has a wonderful menu selection of BBQ, Catfish, homemade chips, and more. Moe’s has some of the best BBQ in town and the best location because it has a unique view of the river. There are only a few places in Rome where you can eat this close to the river. Just a few steps over, you are at the Robert Redden Foot Bridge (also known as the Flag Bridge). We like to get there early before the sun starts going down. It gives us time to walk across the Bridge. This is where the three rivers meet, and you can look across the water to the beautiful Myrtle Hill. The location is truly the heart of Rome.

El Zarape Mexican Resturant

The oldest Mexican Restaurant in Rome, El Zarape, makes you feel welcome. They have an extensive menu of authentic Mexican dishes. The colorful interior and atmosphere are perfect for dinner with family, celebrations, or a night on the town with a date.

La Scala Mediterranean Bistro

While in the Navy, my husband toured the Mediterranean and fell in love with its style of food. La Scala Mediterranean Bistro serves cuisine that is inspired by the Mediterranean. La Scala is an upscale bistro that serves unique dishes. It opened in 1996 and was one of the first upscale restaurants in Rome to find its home on Broad Street. The area has seen a lot of changes over the years as Broad Street has come into its own as Rome’s upscale shopping and dining district.
