I LOVE taking pictures! In this post, I have listed some of the most amazing places to take photos in Rome, Georgia. I love learning new ways to capture images. Around Rome, we have some incredible places to snap some fantastic photos. The following are just a few favorites of local professional and amateur photographers. I hope you enjoy the list of The Best Places to take Photos in and around Rome.
Berry College
You can’t visit Rome without checking out Berry College. It is one of the most popular places to take pictures. It has been called one of the world’s most beautiful campuses and has many locations to take great shots. In front of the Old Mill and waterwheel is just one site for taking breathtaking photos.
Robert Redden Footbridge
Downtown Rome prides itself on the beauty of the rivers, and rightfully so. There are several places to take pictures downtown. Heritage Park and Robert Redden Footbridge overlooks the river and is a great photo spot. The sides of the walkway are lined with locks representing the love and relationships of those who choose to place a lock on the bridge.
Broad Street
Anywhere on Broad Street makes for a great shot, but Opera Alley is especially popular among younger people. Its simplicity draws a lot of people there for senior pictures. Opera Alley is between 3rd and 4th Ave, just down from the Rome Area History Museum.
Clock Tower
Anytime I can get a picture of the Clock Tower, it’s a good shot. I admit I am a little obsessed with the Clock Tower. It is the symbol of Rome and can be spotted and heard from almost anywhere downtown. Around the Clock Tower, the gardens are maintained year-round.
Myrtle Hill
High above the city on Myrtle Hill is the best place to get sweeping views of downtown Rome and the rivers. Also, the history and statues are brilliant.
The Town Green
The Town Green is just opposite The Forum, behind Broad Street. It has a fountain to play in, swings, and a large grassy area that is great for pictures.
Overlooking The River
Chief John Ross Memorial Bridge that crosses the Oostanaula river is an excellent place for pictures day or night.
The Old Mill at First Baptist Church Lindale
The Lindale and Silver Creek area has several places to take pictures. The Old Mill at First Baptist Church Lindale and Silver Creek Presbyterian Church in Silver Creek are excellent spots.
Silver Creek Presbyterian Church
My family has taken pictures around the church many times. We have taken family photos, prom pictures, and senior pictures here.
There are many more places to take pictures around Rome, and I have only listed a few. Where do you like to take pictures? Share your favorite spots in the comments.
